Today is Jeff’s birthday!

This weekend Dynamite has taken a turn for the worse.  It started with little white spots on Friday.  So, Friday night I set up a hospital tank for him and got some Ick medication.  On Saturday, I woke up to a wet spot in the basement.  Turns out it was right below the new hospital tank.  The brand new tank leaks.  Grrr.  So, I moved Dynamite to a bucket and sealed up the tank with some silicone.  Today I moved him back into the tank.  He’s not well.  It appears that he has some fin rot too.  His tail, anal, and dorsal fins all seem to be in poor condition.  So, I guess I will be going to the pet store again tomorrow for some fin rot meds.  Actually, that all depends on if he makes it through the night.  He doesn’t look well.

Today is Jeanne’s Mom’s birthday!

For our first (of many) official Proefrock Family Fun Day, we went to the Van Andel Museum. It was a lot of fun. We saw the special Maps exhibit as well as two different planetarium shows. It was quite a day. They actually let 9 of us in the same building at the same time. Jeanne and I, Jason and Debra, Josh and Julie, Mom and Dad, and Granny. Crazy hu? I haven’t got my pictures up, but I will soon. You can see and read more about the day if you check out Jason and Debra’s site.

Future thoughts on locations for the Proefrock Family Fun Day include the Meijer Gardens, the Gerald R. Ford Museum, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and Craig’s Cruisers (I may have added the last one without anyone else’s input )
